The weaving of carpets has been in practise for many a centuries by people of different cultural backgrounds across the globe. By way of example, Chinese, Persian and Bedouin tribes used to make it for local as well as trading purposes outside their home countries. Such carpets usually used to be hand woven consisting of various designs and multiple color patterns which pertained to their specific tribes and origins giving each such carpet its own individuality.

The pasting or installation of carpet tiles or squares need to be done carefully by causing and ensuring that the bottom of such tiles is hard and sticky enough to be glued on to the surface of the floor to get the best look and longevity to such carpets and which together with other pieces would form one large piece of carpet (usually a wall to wall feature). With the foregoing in mind, the modern carpet manufacturers have endeavored to invest and design the backs of such tiles with durable gripping and of such property that it goes on to increase the cushioning and life time of such carpet tiles, subject to appropriate and consistent maintenance and cleaning of the carpet tiles.
